Realdania

Over the past three years, we have supported Realdania in designing and operationalising an impact measurement framework for their MRI portfolio. The scope covered translation of Realdania's philanthropic strategy into a set of measurable impact themes and KPIs, using EU sustainable finance regulatory frameworks to ensure broad applicability and comparability, covering both social and environmental sustainability.

Based on the framework, we support Realdania with collecting, validating and rating impact data across the portfolio on an annual basis, which is subsequently aggregated into the annual impact report for MRI. Also , we conduct an annual review of the framework itself, ensuring the continued relevance and applicability of its impact themes, KPIs and methodologies as the portfolio evolves.

The development of a relevant impact framework tailored to the MRI portfolio has provided Realdania with the tools to measure and, where possible, quantify the impact of their MRI investment strategy - translating a philanthropic ambition into a structured, evidence-based assessment that can be tracked and reported year on year. This enables Realdania to demonstrate progress against their mission, identify where impact is being realised across the portfolio, and continuously strengthen the quality and credibility of impact reporting over time.
