The project

JOE & THE JUICE wanted to establish a solid Double Materiality Assessment to serve both as analytic foundation for compliance and upcoming CSRD reporting as well as provide insights and relevant data on progress to the company’s sustainability strategy. The process should ensure cross-organisational alignment, involvement of senior leadership and board and ensure an outcome of also strategic value to the overall sustainability ambitions of the company.

Our approach

The Footprint team worked closely with the sustainability team, finance, legal and strategy, and facilitated a CSRD-compliant DMA process anchored in internal and external stakeholder interviews and engagement with corporate management. The assessment identified material impacts, risks, and opportunities across environmental, social, and governance topics across the value chain, aligned with CSRD requirements and with clear links to JOE & THE JUICE ‘s strategic priorities across E, S and G including areas linked to responsible sourcing, carbon footprint, waste and recycling.

The impact

Our collaboration with JOE & THE JUICE was a close joint team effort resulting in a DMA process and a final outcome going beyond compliance focus and regulatory preparation, but also ensuring a strong strategic integration with the company’s overall sustainability ambitions and providing insights for pushing ongoing sustainability efforts further.
