Anna is an experienced entrepreneur and co-founder of Danish fashion brand Becksöndergaard Copenhagen, which was later sold to a private equity fund. Her main areas of expertise include business development, sales, distribution, product and pricing strategy as well as professionalization and scaling of start-ups.

Besides this, Anna has been actively involved as a board member, advisor and investor in a number of start-ups within industries such as sustainable fashion and apparel, Internet of Things and lifestyle over the past 10 years.

Passionate about entrepreneurship, building companies and always challenging the status quo, Anna embodies a commercial mindset and a hands-on approach to business development and strategy formulation. She’s a firm believer in integrity and that people are key to any success and she has a strong talent for building bridges between various stakeholders in organizations.

Anna holds a Master of Science in International Marketing and Management from Copenhagen Business School. Before starting her own company, she worked in consulting with McKinsey & Company and as Project Manager within advertising for Lowe Worldwide.

Annabelle has 2+ years of experience in sustainability consulting from the Footprint Firm and KPMG Germany. Being passionate about sustainability and environmental matters in particular, she holds a special interest in finding avenues for companies to strategically transition towards more sustainable business models and reduce their environmental and ecological footprint.

Annabelle’s expertise spans multiple sectors and includes GHG accounting, ESG strategy development, due diligence , biodiversity assessment, and environmental reporting, navigating different regulations and frameworks like the EU Taxonomy, SFDR, and TCFD. Annabelle has in particularly worked on several CSRD readiness projects.

With a BSc in International Business Administration from Leuphana University and a MSc in Climate Change from the University of Copenhagen, Annabelle brings extensive knowledge at the intersections of sustainability, climate science, business and global governance. Her academic experience further encompasses coursework at Copenhagen Business School, with a focus on circular economy and sustainable finance.

During her studies, Annabelle was a sustainability advocate at the impact-driven community Station. In addition, she was involved in the initiative Sneep, promoting ethical and sustainable management practices, and pushing the boundaries of conventional economics.

Anne is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Data Science & Management at the Technical University of Denmark. Her academic work focuses on developing data-driven solutions to support decision-making, including fields of machine learning and operations research.

Anne is particularly motivated by using data to implement forward-thinking business strategies that lead to sustainable solutions and to evaluate the impact. As a part of her education, she studied one semester abroad in Singapore where she took courses on shipping, project management, and stochastic simulation. During and in between her studies, Anne has worked with digital advertising and e-commerce.

Asbjørn has 4+ years of sustainability consulting experience. Asbjørn’s project experience covers multiple areas including ESG strategy development, GHG inventory calculations and training sessions, CO2e reduction lever business cases, and advising funds on SFDR Article 9 and EU Taxonomy requirements as well as developing the required documentation. With international study and working experience, Asbjørn thrives in diverse environments where tackling complex sustainability challenges has been a recurring theme throughout his studies and professional work.

Prior to joining The Footprint Firm in 2021, Asbjørn was a central part of building Frederiksberg’s Sustainability Council consisting of recognized experts. As a consultant for the council, Asbjørn supported the experts in advising Frederiksberg’s mayor and local politicians on various sustainability challenges and opportunities including initiatives to decarbonize the energy and transportation sectors. Asbjørn has also held a student position at EY’s Climate Change and Sustainability team focusing primarily on sustainability reporting.

Asbjørn holds a Master of Science in International Marketing and Management with a minor in Sustainable Business and a Bachelor of Science in International Business from Copenhagen Business School where part of his degree was completed at Singapore Management University.

Asger has 9 years of consulting experience spanning across multiples areas such as operating models, strategy exeuction work and sustainability advisory. In the last 2 years at The Footprint Firm, Asger has supported Danish industrials by managing teams and projects around sustainability, decarbonization, target-setting, GHG accounting and CSRD readiness. Addtionally, Asger supports the investment side of our business in the carbon removal space, making him well versed in Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR) strategies.

Before joining The Footprint Firm, Asger worked as a Principal Consultant in PA Consulting Group, leading teams on strategy and business transformation assignments in the life science industry and public healthcare. His primary focus was building new digital ecosystems around patients to increase data on new opportunities and unarticulated needs in wider population groups and become more data-driven in decision-making. Asger’s industry experience also covers financial institutions and renewable energy.

Asger finds great inspiration and energy in advising digital health start-ups and scale-ups around market access, strategy development, customer segmentation and lean start-up methods and has engaged in start-up advisory for the past 3 years in his spare time.

Moreover, Asger has worked with multiple secretariats of the United Nations Global Compact in New York and in Copenhagen, enforcing sustainability policies from a global governance perspective while developing actionable tools for UNGC signatories to better integrate sustainability into core operations.

Asger holds a Master of Liberal Arts (ALM) in Business Management from Harvard University with a specialisation in Innovation, and a BSc and MSc in International Business & Politics from Copenhagen Business School.

Belinda has over 7 years of experience in marketing, working for a variety of companies, from start-ups to media agencies to tech companies. Throughout her career, she has focused on driving strong business results through marketing and media efforts, by having a strong understanding of the product/service, market, and consumer.

Before joining The Footprint Firm, Belinda spent 4 years at Google in Copenhagen. As an Industry Manager, she was responsible for a portfolio of clients across different industries with focus on driving business growth through digital marketing and transformation. Her primary focus was to identify shared areas of opportunity between clients and Google, create a plan to unlock this potential, and manage both internal and external stakeholders to bring it to life.

In addition to her core role at Google, Belinda’s passion for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) drove her to lead all DE&I programs and initiatives in Denmark alongside the Country Manager. Her role was to understand the needs of the local market, identify key priorities, and coordinate across leadership and employee groups to drive the most impactful initiatives.

Belinda’s experience also includes working for an agency within WPP, the world’s largest advertising agency, as the digital lead for large clients across multiple markets. This role included strategic marketing work, with a focus on efficiency and processes. Belinda is originally from South Africa and began her career at a start-up in Cape Town delivering media, digital, and technology solutions to clients across a broad range of industries.

Belinda holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Creative Brand Communication from Vega School of Brand Leadership, a university in South Africa.

Beth has 3+ years of sustainability consulting experience, working across multiple areas, including sustainability reporting, GHG baselining and ESG strategy development. Beth has also been working with helping clients develop and commit to SBTi, and is passionate about global sustainability and the potential of innovation to combat major environmental issues.

Prior to joining The Footprint Firm, Beth worked as Sustainability Consultant at Nordic Sustainability developing environmental strategies for large Danish and international corporations. Her main focus was advising companies on implementation of environmental strategies into management processes as well as assisting in the development of carbon reduction programs working extensively with calculation of baselines and development of Science Based Targets. Moreover, Beth has worked for the Dutch circular economy company Metabolic, applying systems thinking and data science to assist businesses and NGOs to become engaged in the circular economy space.

Beth holds a Bachelor from University of Edinburgh in Geography and a Master of Science from the University of Copenhagen in Physical Geography and Geoinformatics.

Bjarne brings over 4 years of diverse professional experience, spanning across management consulting at McKinsey & Co., venture capital and private equity at the German family office Lennertz & Co., and auditing at KPMG. His consulting work has covered various sectors, including Banking and Advanced Industries, with a focus on risk management, corporate finance, and procurement.

Bjarne’s enthusiasm for supporting start-ups and founders began during his student role as a Strategy and Finance Analyst at the software company Leapwork. This passion continued to develop at Lennertz & Co., where he gained valuable insights into the Venture Capital landscape, with a focus on impact venture capital. After his time at McKinsey, Bjarne spent the summer assisting a tech start-up founded by a former colleague, which aims to democratize access to learning. Now, Bjarne looks forwarded to combining all of these skills to dive deeper into the world of sustainability.

Bjarne holds an MSc in Applied Economics and Finance from Copenhagen Business School and a BSc in Economics and Business Economics from Maastricht University. His international experiences include a year at KPMG Luxembourg, an exchange semester in Montreal, a year travelling through South-East Asia and Australia, and a Rotary Youth Exchange year in Argentina.

Bo has 5+ years of experience from management consulting and working within the green transition from a governmental perspective. His experience includes working with sustainability strategy, decarbonisation and ESG DDs. Prior to joining the Footprint Firm, Bo worked at Ministry of Finance enabling sustainable solutions, including offshore wind, Power-to-X, and carbon capture and storage (CCS). Additionally, Bo was responsible for portfolio management of state-owned companies where he guided investment decisions and processes for optimizing efficiency across projects.

Before that, Bo worked in management consulting at Boston Consulting Group and Struensee & Co with the private and public sector. His experience spans across several industries and areas such as strategy, large-scale transformation, procurement, branding, and commercial due diligence.

Bo holds a Master of Science in Economics from the University of Copenhagen, where part of the degree was completed at Columbia University, and a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Management from Aarhus University.

Carl is currently pursuing his MSc in Industrial Engineering & Management at the Technical University of Denmark, building upon his BSc in Design & Innovation. Carl has 3+ years of experience in sustainability consulting and startup advisory from the Footprint Firm. His project experience spans across areas such as GHG accounting, PCFs, ESG strategy, commercialization, due dilligence and environmental regulations.

Carl is passionate about sustainable solutions, product optimization, and innovative design, with a focus on addressing environmental sustainability and climate challenges. His field of study emphasizes a technical and systemic approach to devising and implementing strategies to create a positive impact on the planet.

Beyond his professional work, Carl is co-founder of Plogging Union, a voluntary initiative that combines running and litter cleanup, promoting environmental responsibility and resulting in a cleaner environment. Additionally, Carl has served as a Board member at Late Lecture, a non-profit organization providing students with insights into post-academic life.

Christian is an experienced strategy consultant, who joined The Footprint Firm in 2020 after a career in management consulting at QVARTZ/Bain & Company, working primarily with strategy and business transformation projects. Christian has solid experience from working with renewables industry and institutional investors, including private equity and infrastructure funds and family offices both on fund and portfolio level.

Christian’s industry experience also covers engagements in telecommunications, medical technology and for public institutions among others. Besides this Christian has experience within economic consulting, especially socio-economic impact analyses within infrastructure, environment and tourism for public institutions and utilities. Moreover, Christian worked for top-tier boutique strategy consulting firm, Port Jackson Partners, in Sydney, Australia.

Christian holds a Master of Science in Economics and Business Administration from Aarhus University with an emphasis on International Economic Consulting and a double degree with a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Business Administration from Aarhus University and in Management from Clemson University. Part of his degree was completed at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid.

Christian has 20+ years of management consulting experience from McKinsey & Co and QVARTZ, with a main focus on the intersection between organization, strategy and sustainability. Christian has been the responsible partner on more than 400 projects. He has worked with clients in the private and public sector across a wide range of of areas, including sub-sectors such as transportation, foundations, energy, public agencies, consumer goods and manufacturing. Christian has also served as trusted advisor to a number of senior executives across various industries.

He is engaged in a number of board positions, including being the chairperson for Green Transition Council, Dynelectro and Søuld. Has co-authored a book on the importance of green entrepreneurship, is a frequent columnist and is often used as faculty and keynote speaker on the topics of integrating sustainability into strategy and value creation of companies

Christian holds a Master of Public Policy from Harvard University and a Master of Science in Political Science from the University of Copenhagen. He also has additional professional experience as director and SVP from GN Great Nordic.

Emil has 10 years combined experience as a management consultant, working with realising sustainability projects in the built environment.

Emil was most recently employed as Chief Strategy Officer at Lendager Group, a leading player within the circular economy space in the built environment, where he was responsible for defining the overall business plan and had interim responsibilities for the material company that oversaw production of upcycled building materials. Prior to this, Emil worked as a manager at QVARTZ where he focused on defining corporate strategies for various clients, identification and implementation of business potentials in operations, operating models and organisational transformations for large clients and due diligence on technical targets.

Emil holds a Master of Science in Engineering from The Technical University of Denmark in Design & Innovation and has worked with sustainability for more than 10 years: initially within a student organisation that created teaching material for high school curricula in order to inspire students to pursue careers within green technology, and later as a volunteer for the 10:10 Climate Action campaign based out of the UK. Emil continues his voluntary work to this day as the lead for Roskilde Festival’s analysis team.

Emilie has 2+ years of experience in sustainability consulting from The Footprint Firm. She has experience in quantitative analysis, including assessment of company-wide and product greenhouse gas impacts, as well as qualitative analysis that inform compliance with regulations and frameworks and ESG strategies. Prior to joining The Footprint Firm and alongside her studies, Emilie has worked as a consultant for different organizations on projects related to corporate sustainability, impact assessments and strategy development.

Emilie is passionate about sustainability and regeneration with a specific interest in the intersection between environmental degradation and social injustice. Her exposure to both French and Chinese culture has offered her an understanding of the socio-ecological challenges met by the Global North and Global South. Therefore, she believes that a holistic and multi-stakeholder approach is necessary to achieve true sustainability.

Emilie holds a MSc in International Sustainability Management from ESCP (Berlin, Paris) and a Bachelor of Business Administration from ESSEC (Paris, Singapore) where a part of her degree was completed at Copenhagen Business School. During her master studies, Emilie engaged in student advisory work, including performing TCFD scenario analysis and biodiversity assessment for the private sector in Germany and France. Additionally, she was part of 180 Degrees Consulting, the largest nonprofit student social impact consultancy worldwide.

Emma has 4+ years of professional experience working with strategy and sustainability in EY-Parthenon and at The Footprint Firm. Emma has solid experience with ESG DD, VDD and exit preparation, fund ESG strategy and frameworks, reporting and commercialisation of sustainability efforts specializing in the built environment, working closely with real estate developers and real estate investors. Emma has worked with EU regulation for sustainable finance, including investment strategies for article 8 and 9 funds (SFDR) and advisory on the EU taxonomy. She is also experienced in working with the GHG Protocol and has completed several GHG inventories and identified reduction potential.

Emma is passionate about the global sustainability agenda and has a great interest in the link between digital technologies and carbon emission reductions.

Prior to joining The Footprint Firm Emma worked with EY-Parthenon, the strategy consulting practice of EY. Emma holds a Bachelor and Master degree in International Business and Politics from Copenhagen Business School, and an additional Master in Management and digital business from IE Business School in Madrid. During her studies, Emma worked for Bech-Bruun and McKinsey & Company, and she has been involved in volunteer work for the UN initiative UNLEASH on sustainable development.

Frederik has 5+ years of experience from management consulting and joined The Footprint Firm in 2022. Frederik has strong experience with private equity and investor fund strategy and execution. He has conducted multiple decarbonisation projects and supported commercialization of sustainability in large corporates. He is passionate about helping companies and investors navigate the transition to a low-carbon and resource-efficient economy and has a great interest in the field of sustainable finance.

Before joining The Footprint Firm, Frederik worked with EY-Parthenon, the strategy consulting practice of EY, where he advised private equity funds on commercial due diligence projects across a broad range of industries. Prior to this, Frederik interned in a Zambian venture capital fund, Kukula Seed, supporting investments and growth initiatives in local start-ups. Frederik has held student positions in EY-Parthenon, Novo Nordisk and Spencer Stuart.

Frederik holds a Master of Science in Applied Economics and Finance and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Project Management from Copenhagen Business School (CBS) where part of his degree was completed at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Outside work, Frederik enjoys sports, mainly football, badminton, and running, and is passionate about music.

Frederik has +2 years of consulting experience working primarily with M&A strategy, including due diligence, strategy and value creation for private equity funds and their portfolio companies. Prior to joining The Footprint Firm Frederik worked as a Consultant at Deloitte Monitor where he besides, M&A worked with corporate strategy projects focusing on digital innovation as well as headed up the junior recruitment team and work related to employer branding.

Frederik also worked at Novozymes as a Student Analyst in their Corporate Finance team supporting on business case development, including CAPEX and general investment decisions. Moreover, Frederik worked in GfK with consumer marketing while pursuing his bachelor’s and master’s degrees.

Frederik holds an MSc in Finance and Strategic Management and a BSc in Business Administration and Economics from Copenhagen Business School, including two exchange semesters abroad at Arizona State University in the US, and Bocconi University in Milan, Italy.

Frederik has 3+ years of experience in management consulting working primarily with strategy development, operational excellence, due diligence processes in M&A and a wide range of sustainability topics with a main focus on energy transition, renewable energy, tender excellence and especially offshore wind. 

Before joining The Footprint Firm, Frederik worked at Bain & Company as a management consultant. Also, Frederik has worked as a teaching assistant at CBS teaching econometrics and while studying his master’s degree and worked as a Surveillance Analyst at Nasdaq being responsible for surveying listed companies.  

Frederik holds a Master of Science in Advanced Economics and Finance and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Project Management from Copenhagen Business School, where he also spent one semester at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. 

Henriette has 10+ years of consulting experience from both The Footprint Firm and QVARTZ/Bain & Co. Henriette has specialized in sustainability in private equity at both fund and portfolio level – setting direction and strategy at the fund level, onboarding and rolling out strategies to the portfolio, and developing relevant, pragmatic and CSRD and SFDR compliant reporting approaches and methodologies. She has extensive experience with sustainability strategy development, CSRD readiness processes and double materiality assessments across multiple industries as well as broad experience with transaction processes on both the buyer- and seller-side running ESG DD and VDD processes.

Prior to joining The Footprint Firm, Henriette worked as a Manager at QVARTZ/Bain & Co. where she focused on clients within consumer products in both B2B and B2C settings, industry and nonprofit organizations. She has primarily focused on transformations and strategy execution – translating strategic direction into actionable plans and providing hands-on execution support to client teams. Henriette has a broad international experience latest from spending two years in the US being a part of the team establishing the QVARTZ office in New York.

Henriette holds a Master of Science in Economics & Marketing from Copenhagen Business School.

Isabella has 3+ years of sustainability consulting experience from The Footprint Firm. She has worked across multiple topic areas, including ESG strategy development, initiative definitions, KPI setting and roadmap development, GHG inventory calculations & decarbonization, ESG DD processes, double materiality assessments and CSRD reporting readiness.

Isabella is very passionate about raising sustainability awareness and creating lasting social impacts. She comes from an international background and has studied in Denmark, India, the USA and Italy, mastering Danish, Spanish, English and Italian fluently. During her master studies, Isabella engaged in 180 Degrees Consulting, the largest and leading social impact student consultancy worldwide where she held a position of consulting director being in charge of client acquisition and guiding consultants on projects.

Isabella holds a Master of Science in Innovation & Global Sustainable Development from Lund University and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Siena. She wrote her Master’s thesis on innovation and climate change adaptation practices in the Costa Rican coffee context, where she spent 4 months conducting research and fieldwork.

Jakob has 10+ years of management consulting and business development experience working primarily with strategy and transformation projects. At The Footprint Firm, Jakob specialises in sustainability in private equity at fund and portfolio company level. He has strong experience in working with sustainability in a value creation sense incl. CSRD readiness / DMA, ESG strategy, decarbonization & target setting and sustainability alignment (EU Taxonomy and SFDR / article 9). He also has extensive experience with transaction processes on both the buyer- and seller-side running multiple ESG DD and VDD processes.

Before joining The Footprint Firm, Jakob worked 2+ years as Director of Business Development in Arla Foods responsible for Strategy & Business Development in Arla’s International markets (outside Europe) as well as leading a team of global business development managers across the globe.

Before Arla, Jakob was a Manager at QVARTZ (now Bain & Co), where he advised in the Consumer Goods and Private Equity sector. Jakob’s project experience includes strategy, transformation, commercial excellence, organization, sourcing excellence and M&A. Jakob’s industry experience also covers engagements in the automotive, energy and construction sector.

Prior to QVARTZ, Jakob worked 2 years as a consultant in Booz & Company (now Strategy&) living in Amsterdam.

Jakob holds a Master of Science in Mathematical Modelling & Computation from the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) with a focus on applied statistics and operational research. Part of his degree was completed at RMIT in Melbourne.

Jakob has 20+ years of experience as an investor, entrepreneur, CEO and management consultant with significant international experience. He has served as a responsible partner on more than 200+ projects. He has served clients in international organizations and the private and public sectors on a wide range of issues, albeit always at the intersection between sustainability, research, and strategy. Jakob also serves as a trusted advisor to several senior executives, especially in private equity. He has been heavily engaged in the Footprint Firm investment practice, playing a core role in establishing the Footprint Fund and serving as board chair in several startups (Agrain, Klimate, Legacy) as well as leading several investment processes.

He especially thrives in diverse cultural and professional environments, as he has worked as an advisor and investor across the world and across multiple industries, with governments, academia, civil society and international organizations.

In 2011, he founded his own boutique consultancy as a response to the democratic movements in the Middle East and Africa that erupted in step with the Arab Spring revolutions. The company was later merged into Voluntas where Jakob has served as CEO and co-owner, as well as working with the advisory and investment sub-brands contributing to building the organization, growing the business as well as initiating new start-ups and establishing new offices. In 2008, Jakob co-founded the purpose-driven and renewable-only utility Natur-Energi, a company that was sold in 2017 after having built a significant client base.

Jakob holds a Master of Public Theory from University of Essex and a Master of Science in Political Science from the University of Aarhus. His former positions include CEO and Co-founder of Voluntas Group, including Voluntas Advisory and Voluntas Investment, Co-founder of Natur-Energi and other work with the World Bank, DanChurchAid and Epinion.

Jahnavi is currently pursuing a Master of Science (MSc) in Climate Change at the University of Copenhagen and holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Economics and Environmental Studies, a joint major, from Krea University in India. When Jahnavi came across a sustainability report during one of her undergrad courses, she quickly developed an interest in how companies and corporations seek to embed sustainability and climate change matters into their operations. Ever since then, she has been passionate about supporting companies in prioritizing sustainability and undertaking meaningful climate action efforts.

After graduating, Jahnavi worked as an ESG Analyst at KPMG Assurance and Consulting Services LLP India, where she was involved in various projects within sustainability advisory services. Moreover, Jahnavi has interned at Sustainia where she worked with the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS).

Jan has 9+ years of experience within management consulting and climate and sustainability strategy. Jan’s project experience covers multiple areas including developing climate risk assessment tools, formulating environmental and social strategies for private and non-profit organisations, ESG reporting strategies, as well as setting up various CO2e baseline calculations in various industries. This work has spanned across a wide range of clients including financial services, multilateral development banks and global corporates (mainly energy, healthcare, and financial services).

Before joining The Footprint Firm, Jan worked within global policy engagement in decarbonisation and corporate climate action for renewable energy major, Ørsted, as well as for McKinsey & Company in Frankfurt, Germany, in their climate risk service line.

Originally from Germany, Jan is an Energy Risk Professional (ERP) certified by the Global Association of Risk Professionals. He holds a Master of Science from the Elite Advanced Economics and Finance program at Copenhagen Business School and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Bonn and spent one exchange semester at the Universitá degli Studi di Siena in Italy.

Jonas has 10+ years of investment, corporate finance, and strategy experience from both philanthropy, private equity and venture capital as well as from investment banking.

Before joining The Footprint Firm, Jonas was Head of Strategy & Special Projects and member of the Senior Leadership Team in the Novo Nordisk Foundation, with responsibility for impact investments and philanthropic strategy in both health and sustainability. Also, Jonas served on the Investment Advisory Board of Den Sociale Kapitalfond Invest and has been involved in the corporate governance development of the Novo Nordisk Foundation group of companies.

Prior to this Jonas worked at Novo Holdings, the Novo Nordisk Foundation’s investment company, covering an array of life science investments in sustainability, health and biotech companies, ranging from early start-ups to large mature companies in both the private and public space.

Moreover, Jonas worked for a leading Danish M&A advisor FIH Partners, where he advised on a variety of transactions.

Jonas holds a Master of Science in Applied Economics and Finance as well as a Bachelor of Science in International Business from Copenhagen Business School and has studied at Harvard.

Before joining The Footprint Fim, Julie worked as an Academic Officer at the Agency of Public Finance and Management focusing on making procurement by the Danish central Government more sustainable. This included uncovering how to reduce the greenhouse gases connected to specific procurement categories, as well as estimating the effects of different initiatives. Besides that, Julie has conducted a wide variety of analyses related to spending reviews strategy projects and marketing analyses.

Julie has a great interest in the field of sustainability, particularly how to close the gap between the complex science of climate change or sustainability and the general public, business and decision makers. From her studies and her previous work experience, Julie brings a well-developed methodological integrity and the ability to address complex issues with a structured approach whilst being able gather and process great quantities of data.

Julie holds a Master of Science in Political Science from the University of Copenhagen with a specialization in Politics of Environment, Climate and Sustainability, and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from the University of Copenhagen.

Kaisa comes with one and a half years of management consulting experience from McKinsey in Denmark and Finland. Kaisa primarily worked with green start-ups’ and scale-ups’ strategy, organisational efficiency, and executive leadership and culture development. Before that, Kaisa worked in public affairs consulting, where her tasks included media monitoring and communication for clients and political stakeholders.

Kaisa holds a Master’s degree in International Security from the PSIA (Paris School of International Affairs) at Sciences Po Paris. Her selected specializations were climate change/sustainability and global risks, and she also obtained an advanced certification in gender studies. Kaisa has a Bachelor’s degree from the same university’s trilingual program in political science, focused on European cooperation. Kaisa has lived in 5 countries in Europe and the Middle East and speaks English, Finnish, French and German.

Kari is pursuing an MSc in Applied Economics and Finance at Copenhagen Business School. She holds a BSc in International Business and Politics. The combination of academic disciplines gives her a broad understanding of how businesses operate in a global and dynamic world, and how economic and financial tools enable firms to navigate and excel in this environment. As a part of her degree Kari completed an exchange program in Singapore. and throughout her studies she has been active in student life at CBS as a study start guide, course representative, and as a part of IBP union and CBS United Nations.

During her studies Kari worked as a junior analyst with management of early-stage offshore wind farms at Copenhagen Offshore Partners. Also, she has experience within the energy field from The Nordic Council of Ministers where she worked in the Green Growth department.

Kenneth is currently pursuing a MSc in Digital Innovation & Management at the IT University of Copenhagen. Kenneth has 5+ years of experience working as a student assistant within sustainability- and startup advisory. He has project experience with GHG inventory and product carbon footprint calculations, EU taxonomy alignment, commercialization, and ESG strategy.

Before joining The Footprint Firm, Kenneth worked as a student assistant at Copenhagen Business Hub, where he gained experience in developing sustainable business practices and business models by working with various SMEs and start-ups across industries. He has also contributed to a publication on sustainable businesses.

Kenneth holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Project Management at Copenhagen Business School. During his studies at Copenhagen Business School, Kenneth was part of the organising committee of CBS Case Competition as well as co-founder of Business Battlefield.

Lea has 5+ years of experience with strategic management consulting and the green agenda in an international context. Lea has experience with a great variety of sustainability-related analyses and projects including CO2e-baselines, ESG strategies and assessments related to EU-regulation, such as DMA’s. Lea has assisted clients in both the private and public sector, in Denmark as well as abroad.

Before joining The Footprint Firm, Lea was part of the Centre for environment, climate and the EU at the Danish Ministry of Finance, where she simultaneously worked with the EU-budget and international environment and climate. In this role she had to navigate international political environments, enable decision makers to address complex issues and coordinate government processes. Prior to this, Lea worked as a consultant at Struensee & Co., a strategic management consulting firm with main focus on the public sector. During her studies Lea worked as a student intern for Rambøll, as well as being the president of the student organisation Djøf Students.

Lea is passionate about climate issues and the stakeholder dynamics related thereto. She enjoys analytical thinking that goes beyond the subject matter and also involves navigating stakeholder management. Besides this, Lea has a particularly strong interest in biodiversity.

Lea holds a Master of Science in International Business and Politics from Copenhagen Business School and completed part of her degree at the SKEMA business school in France.

Lisa-Maria has 5+ years of combined consulting and project management experience, with solid sustainability expertise in various areas, including GHG inventory accounting, decarbonization strategies, environmental reporting, nature impact assessments, SBTi commitment and validation processes, governance projects, ESG due diligence, and sustainability commercialization. She is passionate about leveraging the power of non-state actors in driving transformative change and is a strong advocate of adopting a more holistic lens when tackling environmental challenges.

Prior to joining the Footprint Firm, Lisa-Maria spent 2.5 years at CDP (formerly Carbon Disclosure Project), a leading environmental NGO, where she was leading corporate engagement in the DACH region and providing support to stock-listed corporations in their sustainability and environmental reporting endeavours. As part of the wider SBTi engagement team, one significant aspect of that role has been advising companies on setting science-based targets. Prior to this Lisa worked with strategic brand consulting focusing on sustainability-related topics, workshop facilitation and new business development at Zeichen & Wunder.

Lisa holds a Master’s Degree in International Business & Management from the MCI Management Center Innsbruck, along with a Certificate in Business Sustainability Management from the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership.

Louise has +4 years of experience in sustainability consulting with a strong focus on measuring GHG emissions and designing decarbonisation strategies for international private companies. Prior to joining The Footprint Firm, Louise worked in London as a Sustainability Consultant at EcoAct where she specialized in the GHG Protocol and emissions reductions strategies for the Forest, Land and Agriculture (FLAG) sector. She has extensive experience working with companies to set science based targets and is particularly passionate about working with sustainability within the food industry. Louise has also worked as a Consultant at Greenstone+ where she piloted data collection across all GHG scopes and categories for multi-national clients with complex value chains. Moreover, Louise has experience from the French Ministry of Agriculture and the World Food Program in Senegal.

Louise holds a Bachelors of Science (BSc) in International Relations from Kings College London, and a Masters of Arts (MA) in Environmental Policy from Science Po Paris. Louise is fluent in English and French.

Louise has 5+ years of consulting experience within the public and private sectors, working for Boston Consulting Group in Australia and leading the in-house consultancy in the UK’s Business & Energy Department​.

Louise has solid experience within strategy implementation and with EU sustainability legislation, including CSRD readiness, SFDR compliance and the EU Taxonomy​. She has experience across the public sector, healthcare and financial services industries.

In her previous job, Louise specialised in major capital spending. She has advised on some of the UK Government’s largest energy & climate change projects, as well as government infrastructure agencies and managed negotiations for the UK’s ~£20bn 5 year education capital budget.

Prior to this, Louise has 5 years of experience as a policy advisor in the UK and Australian governments across a range of social policy areas, including population health, criminal justice reform and adult skills.

Louise holds a First-class degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from the University of Oxford.

Ludvig has over 6 years of Merger & Acquisition (M&A) and private equity experience. Prior to joining the Footprint Firm, Ludvig led legal affairs for alternative investments at the renowned family office, North-East Group, advising on strategic M&A, venture capital deals and global private equity. Before that, Ludvig worked for 4 years at Accura’s M&A and Private Equity department, advising domestic and international companies, private equity funds and financial institutions on all aspects of M&A transactions and corporate matters.

Ludvig has extensive experience in managing, negotiating, and structuring M&A transactions across various industries and markets, including numerous sustainability cases. His experience covers all areas of private equity, from advising on private equity portfolio deals to investing in private equity funds and structuring funds. Ludvig is committed to adopting an approach that is solution-driven with a significant emphasis on commercial objectives.

Ludvig holds a Master of Law from the University of Copenhagen. Part of his degree was completed at London School of Economics and Political Science and Fordham Law School in New York City, studying corporate finance, corporate law, and M&A structuring. Ludvig has also completed the Masterclass in Private Equity at London Business School.

Ludwig is currently pursuing a Master of Science in International Business & Politics at Copenhagen Business School, specializing in Business and Public Policy, and he holds a Bachelor of Science in International Business & Politics from the same institution. These studies have allowed Ludwig to build a solid understanding of the interplay between business, society, and policy, as well as the economic and political forces shaping the global landscape. Ludwig’s special interest is the role of public policy in driving sustainable business practices and innovation.

Before joining The Footprint Firm, Ludwig spent two years working in strategic planning as a Junior Associate at Capital Four, a Copenhagen-based credit asset management boutique. Here Ludwig assisted in strategy implementation projects and conducted market and industry analyses, developing an understanding of how organizations define and achieve their objectives.

Mads has recently graduated with a Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering from The Technical University of Denmark (DTU), where he primarily focused on Environmental Management with the aim of blending technical knowledge with an understanding of the business potential of sustainability. For his thesis, he studied the role of the Nordics in CCUS (Carbon Capture, Storage, and Utilization), highlighting the potential and challenges of this technology.

During his studies, Mads worked for McKinsey and Company’s Sustainability Practice in Copenhagen and for Ramboll in their Environmental Assessment and Industrial Environment department. At McKinsey, he mainly worked with sustainability strategy for larger corporations, sustainable investments in private equity, and scalability of green start-ups (Green Business Building). At Ramboll, he primarily focused on the contamination of polluted areas and remediation techniques.

In addition to his Master’s degree, Mads also holds a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering from DTU. He has had two study-abroad experiences through exchange programs; first at Dartmouth in the US during his Bachelor’s and secondly at the University of Lisbon (IST) during his Master’s program.

Marina has 5+ years of combined experience from working within management consulting, business development, the financial sector and from working with environmental and social-focused NGOs. She is experienced in data analysis, including assessment of carbon and biodiversity impacts, and qualitative assessments that inform ESG strategies for companies in diverse sectors.

Prior to joining The Footprint Firm, Marina held a role as Sustainability Consultant at Sofies UK (now part of dss+) and has taken part in developing sustainability strategies for both the private and public sector with particular focus on circular economy, extended producer responsibility and the EU Green Deal.

Marina thrives with developing solutions for complex problems and is passionate about the environment in general and ocean health in particular. In the past, she has also engaged in several projects related to climate action and sustainable development while working in companies such as COWI and UN Environment, and is experienced in financial modelling as part of her previous role in M&A. She has served as the inaugural Co-Chair of the Youth Policy Advisory Council of the Sustainable Ocean Alliance and has founded two entrepreneurial projects focused on the circular economy in São Paulo, Brazil.

She holds a Master of Science in Environmental and Natural Resource Economics from the University of Copenhagen and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Insper Institute of Education and Research, São Paulo.

Matilde is finishing her bachelor’s degree in BSc International Business and Politics at Copenhagen Business School, and she is currently writing her thesis on the sustainable transition of the Italian automotive industry. At CBS, she has been active in student organizations and the Study Board.

Before joining The Footprint Firm, she worked at the Danish Energy Agency, focusing on legislation regarding water utilization and supply. This provided Matilde with firsthand experience in policy formulation and many insights into the complex relationships between regulatory systems, interest groups, and politicians. To top it all off, Matilde has also given the entrepreneurial world a go, having started her own webshop during her first year out of high school.

Martin began his career in the travel industry where he spent 20 years working as a leisure and business travel consultant at various companies, such as TV2, Oticon, COWI, SAS Institute, and WHO. In 2016 his curiosity drove him to try out a different industry so he could develop further, and Martin took on a role as House Support and Executive Assistance at QVARTZ/Bain. Most recently, Martin spent 2 and a half years as an Administrative Coordinator at DBU’s legal department.

Martin is someone who loves to bring positive energy to the office with his outgoing personality and his love for a good laugh. With his role being an integral part of the daily flows and of the office, Martin really enjoys ensuring his co-workers can grow, develop and reach their goals. And overall, he has a particular passion for making people feel happy and at home every day in the office.

Mette has 5+ years of management consulting experience, including from Rambøll Management Consulting’s Strategy & Sustainability Advisory team. Among others, Mette has project experience from creating and implementing decarbonization roadmaps, due diligence, training sessions and drafting sustainability reports. Mette has solid experience within the renewable energy sector. Moreover, Mette has worked with commercial due diligence and M&A, market analysis and organizational analysis.

Mette has a passion for green transitioning and fostering long-term business opportunities through the transition process. She thrives with complex problem solving and has a broad experience working on engineering-led projects, where her role has been to bridge complex technical insights with areas of commercial interest.

Before consulting, Mette worked with syndicated loans in Nordea and interned at UN Women (The United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women).

Mette holds a Master of Science in Economics from the Barcelona Graduate School of Economics and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Birmingham.

Mikkel has 7+ years of management consultant experience from companies such as Struensee & Co. and Novo Nordisk Consulting. He has solid experience with development of sustainability strategies for public institutions, private companies and at fund-level for investors, commercialisation of sustainability, biodiversity assessments, SFDR, CSRD and Article 9 alignment, decarbonisation strategies and target setting. Mikkel has worked primarily within the renewables, construction, transportation/logistics-, and consumer-industries.

Passionate about societal change at scale and people development, Mikkel has worked with advisory within a range of areas and industries including transportation, life science, education, justice and defence.

Mikkel holds a Master of Science in Political Science from the University of Copenhagen. His former positions include Senior Consultant at Novo Nordisk Consulting and Consultant at Struensee & Co.

Navid is a seasoned entrepreneur and start-up investor with over two decades of experience as a tech entrepreneur working across a multitude of industries.

Navid started out as an autodidact programmer and then grew up and into a CTO role along with a degree in computer science. From there he went on to a series of software startups, being intrigued by the accessibility and scalability, starting out in the dotcom era. His passion for software still prevails, but he turned his focus towards atoms and hardware startups. And among other things, went into the business of splitting atoms in the nuclear energy industry.

Most recently Navid co-founded Seaborg Technologies, a Danish company developing next-generation nuclear energy, and the spin-out company Hyme Energy, developing grid scale thermal energy storage. Also, Navid was partner and co-founder of Vertical Strategy a boutique consultancy working with digital innovation and transformation for clients across the world, which became part of Qvartz and later sold to Bain & Company.

Moreover, Navid has been active in the startup ecosystem early on as an organizer, mentor and board member and for the past decade also been an active angel investor, investing capital in impact and deep tech start-ups.

Navid was born in Tehran, Iran, and came to Denmark with his family as refugees. His diverse background and experiences has made him a strong proponent and believer of the strength in diversity and equality, and the power of people and integrity.

Nicolas has 4+ years of experience with sustainable start-ups and 3+ years of experience with management consulting at The Footprint Firm. His experience within sustainable management consulting ranges from CO2e inventory calculation, ESG-strategies, ESG vendor due diligence and ESG due diligence. Nicolas has assisted clients across industries, for full profit and nonprofit organization.

Nicolas holds a Master’s in Strategy, Organization and Leadership at Copenhagen Business School with a minor in Circular Economy. Nicolas has a strong interest in the transition of linear business model into circular solutions and wrote his master’s thesis on barriers to circular start-ups and strategies to overcome the complexity of circular business models.

Nicolas has worked on several projects focusing on sustainable challenges including supporting on the business development of LØS market— Denmark’s first zero-waste supermarket concept alongside supporting his family’s permaculture coffee business. Additionally, he has been a part of the CBS Climate Club – an organization focused on building new partnerships, developing projects and promoting sustainability on campus.

Originally Nicolas is French, Swiss and Cameroonian. After finishing his high school in San Francisco he spent 1.5 years in the Swiss army and 5 years ago he decided to move to Copenhagen, where he completed his Bachelor in Service management (Service and Innovation) at Copenhagen Business School.

Nikolaj has 7 years of consulting experience across several industries with focus on renewable energy, consumer goods and private equity. Nikolaj is passionate about the sustainability agenda, in particular the further development of clean energy sources, as well as habitat protection for flora and fauna.

Before joining The Footprint Firm, Nikolaj worked as a Manager for consulting firm QVARTZ helping clients in a number of areas with main focus on development and implementation of corporate and business unit strategies, commercial excellence initiatives, due diligences and change management programs. Nikolaj has a broad international experience serving clients across 10+ countries on four continents and enjoys working with people from different cultures. During his time at QVARTZ, Nikolaj spent six months in Sydney and two years in Singapore, establishing a local office there.

Nikolaj holds a Master of Science in Economics and Management from Aarhus University including an exchange semester at University of Technology in Sydney.

Nina has 8 years of consulting experience working with large-scale transformations, primarily in the intersection between business, IT, and processes. As a project manager Nina has significant experience in driving strategic and tactical business clarifications, including defining the business’s vision and capabilities, identifying and prioritising business requirements, and working together with both the business and IT to define and implement solutions.

Prior to joining The Footprint Firm, Nina worked as a Manager at Deloitte Consulting where she worked with clients within financial services and the public sector. She primarily focused on driving digital transformations and strategy execution – designing target operating models, future capabilities, and processes. Furthermore, Nina has worked as a project manager in Greenland for Comby, an IT company where she helped establish their advisory department.

Nina holds a Master of Science in IT, Communication & Organisation from Aarhus School of Business including an internship with Pressalit.

Phil has 10+ years of strategy consulting experience focusing on sustainability, especially relating to climate mitigation and circular economy. Phil’s experience spans sustainability strategy, ESG due diligence, GHG inventory calculation, sustainability reporting and SFDR/EU Taxonomy alignment assessment. He brings broad sector experience, working with investors and companies in manufacturing, retail and consumer products, technology, healthcare, energy as well as non-profit organizations.

Phil has co-authored perspectives on climate change reporting in private markets, as well as potential opportunities for companies inspired by the circular economy. He has direct experience with circular economy technologies, having been strategy & business development lead for a circular technology for end-of-life textiles, and now a board member for SemperCycle, a circular technology for end-of-life mixed plastic waste.

Phil’s consulting experience also spans strategy and transformation advisory, where he has worked with global companies in consumer products and manufacturing, as well as energy, healthcare and financial services. Before joining The Footprint Firm, Phil was associate partner at Bain & Company in the carbon transition and circular economy practice. Prior to Bain & Company, Phil was a Senior Associate for Pacific Strategy Partners for 3 years, before which he was a Senior Consultant at PwC for 6 years, both based in Australia.

Phil holds a Bachelor or Commerce from the University of Melbourne, majoring in Finance and Accounting. He was admitted to the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia in 2011. He completed the GRI Standards Certificate in 2019.

Pia is part of the Footprint office administration team and makes sure that the office runs smoothly including arranging lunch and keeping the office in order.

Rene has served as CFO/Financial Director since 2003 in a number of Danish, international and listed corporations across a variety of industries, products and services. During this period, Rene has worked abroad for 8 years being based in Malaysia and USA.

Most recently, Rene was Chief Financial Officer at SteelSeries – global player within computer gaming, where he led a large financial turnaround and ultimately transacted the company to new Private Equity ownership. Rene is passionate about the interaction between business processes, financial decisions, optimization and doing the right thing for the long run, as opposed to short term gain.

Rene holds a Master of Science in Business Economics and Auditing from Copenhagen Business School.

Sandra is part of Footprint’s office administration team and helps making sure that the office runs smoothly including arranging lunch and keeping the office in order.

Sara has 5+ years of sustainability consulting experience. Her project experience includes sustainability strategy, GHG accounting and decarbonisation, and ESG reporting. Sara has worked across different industries, but particularly within the private equity space and renewable energy infrastructure.

Sara is an engineer with a creative mindset, who is passionate about sustainable design. Prior to joining The Footprint Firm full time, Sara has been working part time in the company as a Junior Consultant also assisting on a wide range of projects within formulation of sustainability strategies, establishment of ESG reporting, CO2e baselining, TCFD analyses, SDG mapping and commercialization of sustainability initiatives. In relation to her studies Sara has gained experience in identifying and developing opportunities for sustainable innovation and worked with these areas through a number of projects for start-ups and established industry players.

Sara holds a Master of Science in Engineering at The Technical University of Denmark in Design & Innovation, specializing in sustainability with main focus on servitisation, co-creation, holistic design and life cycle assessment. Sara is a firm believer in the need for innovation in both technologies and strategies to create sustainability impact, why her studies focused on both technical and management aspects of sustainability.

Sigrid has 14+ years of experience within the legal profession and was most recently employed as Partner and lawyer at Poul Schmith/Kammeradvokaten, one of Denmark’s leading full-service law firms. Sigrid has solid experience with implementing legal strategies, minimizing legal risk and keep clients abreast of relevant current and future legal changes and trends in EU sustainability regulation. This include CSRD readiness, SFDR compliance, the EU Taxonomy and the draft EU Green Claims Directive. She has a special focus and passion for new regulation and thus have closely followed CSDDD progressing thought the stages of the legislative process.

Sigrid has been representing Danish and international private clients, the public sector and the Danish Government in various fields of the law. Over the years, she has conducted a numerous of cases before Danish courts and have been the author of a large number of articles on insurance and tort law.

Besides this, she has been deeply involved in the strategy and development of Poul Schmith/Kammeradvokaten’s private businesses in Denmark and internationally.

Prior to joining The Footprint Firm Sigrid has been part of a global trend as she chose to dedicate time for a planned career break spending a year on reflection, presence and transition. Sigrid has, among other things, used the break to delve into sustainable leadership and organisational psychology and she firmly believes, that kindness, inclusion and wise compassion are key features of sustainable development and organisational success.

Sigrid holds a Master of Law from the University of Copenhagen and part of her degree was completed in UC Hastings, San Francisco. Sigrid is in recent editions of the Legal 500 recognised as “Next Generation Partner” with clients describing her with the following words: “She goes the extra mile and then some for her clients. She has an excellent grasp of the detail. She is a real team player and an absolute pleasure to work with. Her organisational and project management skills are invaluable.”

Sofie is currently pursuing a Master of Science (MSc) in Economics at the University of Copenhagen with a focus on climate and environmental economics. Sofie holds a BSc in Environmental and Agricultural Economics from the University of Copenhagen, where she did her thesis on Energy Economics. As part of this degree, Sofie completed an exchange program at Monash University in Melbourne with a focus on climate change.​​

During her studies, Sofie has worked as a student assistant at the Danish Ministry of Environment where she gained useful insights into the political aspects and structures of environmental matters. Recently, Sofie has worked as a student assistant at the Danish start-up Klimate, where she assisted in creating carbon removal portfolios and strategies for clients.

Sofie is passionate about creating solutions on all aspects of sustainability and is especially interested in how organizations and companies can measure, calculate, and report on their progress in the best possible way.

Sophia is currently pursuing a Master of Science (MSc) in Finance and Investments at Copenhagen Business School, and she holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Language, and Culture, specializing in French. For her thesis, Sophia explored the interesting topic of the impacts of international investment in an emerging market. Besides her studies, Sophia has worked as a student assistant where she has helped with both customer service and financial tasks.

The combination of degrees means that Sophia has a comprehensive understanding of business, where she can integrate quantitative skills with a broad knowledge of global business practices. Sophia is passionate about working with numbers and combining this skill with sustainable investments. Her role in The Footprint Firm is to work closely with our CFO on various tasks related to our investment processes and portfolio companies in The Footprint Fund.

Tamas has 6+ years of management consulting experience working across strategy and business transformation, with a focus on ESG strategy development, sustainability commercialization and decarbonization across a wide range of industries. He has extensive sector experience across financial services, manufacturing, shipping and the built environment.

Tamas is passionate about supporting organisations along their sustainability journeys by baselining their environmental impact and implementing sustainable, climate positive solutions. He also holds a keen interest in incorporating nature-based solutions to sustainability strategy.

Prior to joining The Footprint Firm, Tamas worked as a Management Consultant in London at Deloitte for 3.5 years, followed by a transfer to the company’s Copenhagen office. In his role as a strategy and operations consultant he worked with insurance, banking and payment provider firms on major transformation programs. Select engagement examples include operating model design for FTSE100 commercial insurance client, market assessment and technology risk evaluation for global payments provider, post merger integration for Scandinavian insurer; technology transformation delivery for global insurance marketplace.

Tamas holds a Master’s degree in Economics from The University of Glasgow.

Trine has 4 years of consulting experience from The Footprint Firm and Monitor Deloitte, the strategy consulting arm of Deloitte. Her experiences within The Footprint Firm includes ESG DD, CSRD readiness and Double materiality assessments. At Monitor Deloitte, Trine’s main focus was on developing corporate and business unit strategies for national and international companies across industries incl. Financial services and Transport and Logistics. During her time there, her passion for sustainability led her to take part in the development of the ESG strategy offering for Monitor Deloitte’s Strategy and Business Design team.

Moreover, Trine has experience from the world of start ups and investing from her time as an Analytical Assistant at VækstFonden Venture (now The Export and Investment Fund of Denmark (EIFO)) being part of the team screening potential investments. Trine has also volunteered at Castore Consulting, a pro-bono strategy advisory, where she was a part of a team of consultants helping startups develop go-to-market strategies. Overall, Trine is passionate about entrepreneurship and how relevant innovation can overcome the climate crisis.

Trine holds a Master’s in Environmental Economics and Climate Change from London School of Economics, and a Bachelor’s in Economics from Copenhagen University.

Will is a scientist by training, holding a first-class masters in Natural Sciences (MSc) from the University of Cambridge, studying subjects from maths, to computational modelling, to the history and philosophy of science. They specialised in materials science, working on batteries, artificial muscles and liquid walls for nuclear fusion reactors. Within sustainability, their expertise lies in quantitative biodiversity and greenhouse gas analysis.

Will’s experience ranges from consulting at PWC Strategy&, to working in education access, healthcare, philanthropy, accountancy, teaching, software and, most recently, founding a non-profit organisation. This non-profit aims to coordinate the clothing purchases of many small organisations to normalise informed ethical consumption and financially incentivise ethical production in the fashion industry. Will also currently co-leads a global organisation in this field, Shaping Fashion, as part of a WEF initiative to reform the industry.

As a passionate queer intersectional feminist, Will looks to gather diverse perspectives in order to critically examine the social function of corporations, drawing on and mainstreaming powerful observations from sidelined voices. Also, Will is a firm believer that creating sustainable transformation is inseparable from social factors, and so is best solved by bringing together diverse ideas and diverse people. Outside of work, Will enjoys climbing, playing hockey, performing stand-up comedy and learning languages.

Will has 6+ years of international consulting experience from Bain & Company and The Footprint Firm. He has worked extensively with sustainability strategy, decarbonisation & target setting, and sustainability due diligence, ranging from SMEs to multinationals across a variety of industries. Will leads The Footprint Firm’s Biotechnology investment vertical and supports the go-to-market of portfolio companies within it.

Before joining The Footprint Firm, Will worked for 4.5 years at Bain & Company in Copenhagen, where he advised clients on a variety of strategic and operational challenges, primarily in Consumer Goods, Tech, Energy and Industry. At Bain, Will developed a passion helping large corporates navigate their decarbonisation journeys, which he sees as having a huge role to play in climate change mitigation. During this period, he also spent 6 months in Colombia helping to scale local start-ups.

Outside work, Will plays a lot of sport, mainly tennis, hockey and running, as well as being a keen musician. He holds a Master’s degree in Natural Sciences from UCL, where he majored in Physics and Physical Chemistry and during these studies, he also spent a year at McGill University in Canada.

Zakarias is currently pursuing his Master of Science in International Business and Politics at Copenhagen Business School. He has 3+ years of combined experience working within the field of sustainability advisory & impact investments. Zakarias’ project experience at The Footprint Firm consists of, among other things, working with ESG DDs, GHG inventories, ESG strategies, the EU Taxonomy (Article 9 alignment), CSRD readiness, as well as sustainability reporting frameworks such as TCFD.

For his Master’s degree, Zakarias has chosen to specialise in international business regulation with a focus on the green transition. Also, he is very interested in the interdisciplinary aspects of working with sustainability, recognising the need to approach sustainability issues from a systemic perspective, working across disciplines and sectors.

Before joining The Footprint Firm, Zakarias worked with sustainable investments at AP Pension. Zakarias holds a Bachelor of Science in International Business and Politics from Copenhagen Business School where part of his degree was completed at Hawaii Pacific University. During his studies, he has also been engaged in the study board of his bachelor program and in the student organisation CBS Case Club.
