Anna is an experienced entrepreneur and co-founder of Danish fashion brand Becksöndergaard Copenhagen, which was later sold to a private equity fund. Her main areas of expertise include business development, sales, distribution, product and pricing strategy as well as professionalization and scaling of start-ups.

Besides this, Anna has been actively involved as a board member, advisor and investor in a number of start-ups within industries such as sustainable fashion and apparel, Internet of Things and lifestyle over the past 10 years.

Passionate about entrepreneurship, building companies and always challenging the status quo, Anna embodies a commercial mindset and a hands-on approach to business development and strategy formulation. She’s a firm believer in integrity and that people are key to any success and she has a strong talent for building bridges between various stakeholders in organizations.

Anna holds a Master of Science in International Marketing and Management from Copenhagen Business School. Before starting her own company, she worked in consulting with McKinsey & Company and as Project Manager within advertising for Lowe Worldwide.

Annabelle has 2+ years of experience in sustainability consulting from the Footprint Firm and KPMG Germany. Being passionate about sustainability and environmental matters in particular, she holds a special interest in finding avenues for companies to strategically transition towards more sustainable business models and reduce their environmental and ecological footprint.

Annabelle’s expertise spans multiple sectors and includes GHG accounting, ESG strategy development, due diligence , biodiversity assessment, and environmental reporting, navigating different regulations and frameworks like the EU Taxonomy, SFDR, and TCFD. Annabelle has in particularly worked on several CSRD readiness projects.

With a BSc in International Business Administration from Leuphana University and a MSc in Climate Change from the University of Copenhagen, Annabelle brings extensive knowledge at the intersections of sustainability, climate science, business and global governance. Her academic experience further encompasses coursework at Copenhagen Business School, with a focus on circular economy and sustainable finance.

During her studies, Annabelle was a sustainability advocate at the impact-driven community Station. In addition, she was involved in the initiative Sneep, promoting ethical and sustainable management practices, and pushing the boundaries of conventional economics.

Anne is particularly motivated by using data to implement forward-thinking business strategies that lead to sustainable solutions and to evaluate the impact. With international study and working experience, Asbjørn thrives in diverse environments where tackling complex sustainability challenges has been a recurring theme throughout his studies and professional work.

Prior to joining The Footprint Firm in 2021, Asbjørn was a central part of building Frederiksberg’s Sustainability Council consisting of recognized experts. As a consultant for the council, Asbjørn supported the experts in advising Frederiksberg’s mayor and local politicians on various sustainability challenges and opportunities including initiatives to decarbonize the energy and transportation sectors. Asbjørn has also held a student position at EY’s Climate Change and Sustainability team focusing primarily on sustainability reporting.

In the last 2 years at The Footprint Firm, Asger has supported Danish industrials by managing teams and projects around sustainability, decarbonization, target-setting, GHG accounting and CSRD readiness. Addtionally, Asger supports the investment side of our business in the carbon removal space, making him well versed in Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR) strategies.

Before joining The Footprint Firm, Asger worked as a Principal Consultant in PA Consulting Group, leading teams on strategy and business transformation assignments in the life science industry and public healthcare. His primary focus was building new digital ecosystems around patients to increase data on new opportunities and unarticulated needs in wider population groups and become more data-driven in decision-making. Asger’s industry experience also covers financial institutions and renewable energy.

Asger finds great inspiration and energy in advising digital health start-ups and scale-ups around market access, strategy development, customer segmentation and lean start-up methods and has engaged in start-up advisory for the past 3 years in his spare time.

Moreover, Asger has worked with multiple secretariats of the United Nations Global Compact in New York and in Copenhagen, enforcing sustainability policies from a global governance perspective while developing actionable tools for UNGC signatories to better integrate sustainability into core operations.

Belinda has over 7 years of experience in marketing, working for a variety of companies, from start-ups to media agencies to tech companies. Throughout her career, she has focused on driving strong business results through marketing and media efforts, by having a strong understanding of the product/service, market, and consumer.

Before joining The Footprint Firm, Belinda spent 4 years at Google in Copenhagen. As an Industry Manager, she was responsible for a portfolio of clients across different industries with focus on driving business growth through digital marketing and transformation. Her primary focus was to identify shared areas of opportunity between clients and Google, create a plan to unlock this potential, and manage both internal and external stakeholders to bring it to life.

In addition to her core role at Google, Belinda’s passion for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) drove her to lead all DE&I programs and initiatives in Denmark alongside the Country Manager. Her role was to understand the needs of the local market, identify key priorities, and coordinate across leadership and employee groups to drive the most impactful initiatives.

Belinda’s experience also includes working for an agency within WPP, the world’s largest advertising agency, as the digital lead for large clients across multiple markets. This role included strategic marketing work, with a focus on efficiency and processes. Belinda is originally from South Africa and began her career at a start-up in Cape Town delivering media, digital, and technology solutions to clients across a broad range of industries.

Beth has 3+ years of sustainability consulting experience, working across multiple areas, including sustainability reporting, GHG baselining and ESG strategy development. Beth has also been working with helping clients develop and commit to SBTi, and is passionate about global sustainability and the potential of innovation to combat major environmental issues.

Prior to joining The Footprint Firm, Beth worked as Sustainability Consultant at Nordic Sustainability developing environmental strategies for large Danish and international corporations. Her main focus was advising companies on implementation of environmental strategies into management processes as well as assisting in the development of carbon reduction programs working extensively with calculation of baselines and development of Science Based Targets. Moreover, Beth has worked for the Dutch circular economy company Metabolic, applying systems thinking and data science to assist businesses and NGOs to become engaged in the circular economy space.

Bjarne brings over 4 years of diverse professional experience, spanning across management consulting at McKinsey & Co., venture capital and private equity at the German family office Lennertz & Co., and auditing at KPMG. His consulting work has covered various sectors, including Banking and Advanced Industries, with a focus on risk management, corporate finance, and procurement.

Bjarne’s enthusiasm for supporting start-ups and founders began during his student role as a Strategy and Finance Analyst at the software company Leapwork. This passion continued to develop at Lennertz & Co., where he gained valuable insights into the Venture Capital landscape, with a focus on impact venture capital. After his time at McKinsey, Bjarne spent the summer assisting a tech start-up founded by a former colleague, which aims to democratize access to learning. Now, Bjarne looks forwarded to combining all of these skills to dive deeper into the world of sustainability.

Emil has 10 years combined experience as a management consultant, working with realising sustainability projects in the built environment.

Emil was most recently employed as Chief Strategy Officer at Lendager Group, a leading player within the circular economy space in the built environment, where he was responsible for defining the overall business plan and had interim responsibilities for the material company that oversaw production of upcycled building materials. Prior to this, Emil worked as a manager at QVARTZ where he focused on defining corporate strategies for various clients, identification and implementation of business potentials in operations, operating models and organisational transformations for large clients and due diligence on technical targets.

Emil holds a Master of Science in Engineering from The Technical University of Denmark in Design & Innovation and has worked with sustainability for more than 10 years: initially within a student organisation that created teaching material for high school curricula in order to inspire students to pursue careers within green technology, and later as a volunteer for the 10:10 Climate Action campaign based out of the UK. Emma has solid experience with ESG DD, VDD and exit preparation, fund ESG strategy and frameworks, reporting and commercialisation of sustainability efforts specializing in the built environment, working closely with real estate developers and real estate investors. Emma has worked with EU regulation for sustainable finance, including investment strategies for article 8 and 9 funds (SFDR) and advisory on the EU taxonomy. She is also experienced in working with the GHG Protocol and has completed several GHG inventories and identified reduction potential.

Emma is passionate about the global sustainability agenda and has a great interest in the link between digital technologies and carbon emission reductions.

He especially thrives in diverse cultural and professional environments, as he has worked as an advisor and investor across the world and across multiple industries, with governments, academia, civil society and international organizations.

In 2011, he founded his own boutique consultancy as a response to the democratic movements in the Middle East and Africa that erupted in step with the Arab Spring revolutions. Navid is a seasoned entrepreneur and start-up investor with over two decades of experience as a tech entrepreneur working across a multitude of industries.

Navid started out as an autodidact programmer and then grew up and into a CTO role along with a degree in computer science. From there he went on to a series of software startups, being intrigued by the accessibility and scalability, starting out in the dotcom era. His passion for software still prevails, but he turned his focus towards atoms and hardware startups. And among other things, went into the business of splitting atoms in the nuclear energy industry.

Most recently Navid co-founded Seaborg Technologies, a Danish company developing next-generation nuclear energy, and the spin-out company Hyme Energy, developing grid scale thermal energy storage. Also, Navid was partner and co-founder of Vertical Strategy a boutique consultancy working with digital innovation and transformation for clients across the world, which became part of Qvartz and later sold to Bain & Company.

Moreover, Navid has been active in the startup ecosystem early on as an organizer, mentor and board member and for the past decade also been an active angel investor, investing capital in impact and deep tech start-ups.

Navid was born in Tehran, Iran, and came to Denmark with his family as refugees. His diverse background and experiences has made him a strong proponent and believer of the strength in diversity and equality, and the power of people and integrity.

Nicolas has 4+ years of experience with sustainable start-ups and 3+ years of experience with management consulting at The Footprint Firm. His experience within sustainable management consulting ranges from CO2e inventory calculation, ESG-strategies, ESG vendor due diligence and ESG due diligence. Nicolas has assisted clients across industries, for full profit and nonprofit organization.

Nicolas holds a Master’s in Strategy, Organization and Leadership at Copenhagen Business School with a minor in Circular Economy. Nicolas has a strong interest in the transition of linear business model into circular solutions and wrote his master’s thesis on barriers to circular start-ups and strategies to overcome the complexity of circular business models.

Nicolas has worked on several projects focusing on sustainable challenges including supporting on the business development of LØS market— Denmark’s first zero-waste supermarket concept alongside supporting his family’s permaculture coffee business. Additionally, he has been a part of the CBS Climate Club – an organization focused on building new partnerships, developing projects and promoting sustainability on campus.

Before joining The Footprint Firm, Nikolaj worked as a Manager for consulting firm QVARTZ helping clients in a number of areas with main focus on development and implementation of corporate and business unit strategies, commercial excellence initiatives, due diligences and change management programs. Nikolaj has a broad international experience serving clients across 10+ countries on four continents and enjoys working with people from different cultures. Phil has co-authored perspectives on climate change reporting in private markets, as well as potential opportunities for companies inspired by the circular economy. He has direct experience with circular economy technologies, having been strategy & business development lead for a circular technology for end-of-life textiles, and now a board member for SemperCycle, a circular technology for end-of-life mixed plastic waste.

Before joining The Footprint Firm, Phil was associate partner at Bain & Company in the carbon transition and circular economy practice. Most recently, Rene was Chief Financial Officer at SteelSeries – global player within computer gaming, where he led a large financial turnaround and ultimately transacted the company to new Private Equity ownership. Sara has worked across different industries, but particularly within the private equity space and renewable energy infrastructure.

Sara is an engineer with a creative mindset, who is passionate about sustainable design. Prior to joining The Footprint Firm full time, Sara has been working part time in the company as a Junior Consultant also assisting on a wide range of projects within formulation of sustainability strategies, establishment of ESG reporting, CO2e baselining, TCFD analyses, SDG mapping and commercialization of sustainability initiatives. In relation to her studies Sara has gained experience in identifying and developing opportunities for sustainable innovation and worked with these areas through a number of projects for start-ups and established industry players.

Sigrid has solid experience with implementing legal strategies, minimizing legal risk and keep clients abreast of relevant current and future legal changes and trends in EU sustainability regulation. Will is a scientist by training, holding a first-class masters in Natural Sciences (MSc) from the University of Cambridge, studying subjects from maths, to computational modelling, to the history and philosophy of science. They specialised in materials science, working on batteries, artificial muscles and liquid walls for nuclear fusion reactors. Within sustainability, their expertise lies in quantitative biodiversity and greenhouse gas analysis.

Will’s experience ranges from consulting at PWC Strategy&, to working in education access, healthcare, philanthropy, accountancy, teaching, software and, most recently, founding a non-profit organisation. This non-profit aims to coordinate the clothing purchases of many small organisations to normalise informed ethical consumption and financially incentivise ethical production in the fashion industry. Will also currently co-leads a global organisation in this field, Shaping Fashion, as part of a WEF initiative to reform the industry.

As a passionate queer intersectional feminist, Will looks to gather diverse perspectives in order to critically examine the social function of corporations, drawing on and mainstreaming powerful observations from sidelined voices. Will leads The Footprint Firm’s Biotechnology investment vertical and supports the go-to-market of portfolio companies within it.

Before joining The Footprint Firm, Will worked for 4.5 years at Bain & Company in Copenhagen, where he advised clients on a variety of strategic and operational challenges, primarily in Consumer Goods, Tech, Energy and Industry. At Bain, Will developed a passion helping large corporates navigate their decarbonisation journeys, which he sees as having a huge role to play in climate change mitigation. During this period, he also spent 6 months in Colombia helping to scale local start-ups.

Outside work, Will plays a lot of sport, mainly tennis, hockey and running, as well as being a keen musician. He holds a Master’s degree in Natural Sciences from UCL, where he majored in Physics and Physical Chemistry and during these studies, he also spent a year at McGill University in Canada.

Zakarias is currently pursuing his Master of Science in International Business and Politics at Copenhagen Business School. He has 3+ years of combined experience working within the field of sustainability advisory & impact investments. Zakarias’ project experience at The Footprint Firm consists of, among other things, working with ESG DDs, GHG inventories, ESG strategies, the EU Taxonomy (Article 9 alignment), CSRD readiness, as well as sustainability reporting frameworks such as TCFD.

For his Master’s degree, Zakarias has chosen to specialise in international business regulation with a focus on the green transition. Also, he is very interested in the interdisciplinary aspects of working with sustainability, recognising the need to approach sustainability issues from a systemic perspective, working across disciplines and sectors.

Before joining The Footprint Firm, Zakarias worked with sustainable investments at AP Pension. Zakarias holds a Bachelor of Science in International Business and Politics from Copenhagen Business School where part of his degree was completed at Hawaii Pacific University.
